Fight against isolation
Contexte
Little Brothers of the Poor fights against the isolation of the elderly thanks to volunteers who, in pairs, visit them regularly, at home or in an institution. The association wanted to evaluate the real impact of this support on the daily life of the people visited, by collecting their words directly.
Démarche
A cohort follow-up was set up, interviewing the same group of people over several months to observe changes over time. The interviews were conducted face-to-face by volunteers who had not accompanied the interviewees, guaranteeing sincere and unbiased testimonies.
Utilisation des résultats
The survey confirmed the value of the listening and the link provided by the volunteers, identified as the real strength of the support. These lessons have enabled the association to highlight the concrete impact of its action, while identifying priorities for the future: the rhythm and regularity of visits, the diversity of activities, and the loyalty of volunteers.

Contexte
Espérance Banlieues began a social impact assessment process with Kimso in 2021, with students, parents and the educational staff of its schools, then extended to alumni and teachers. The association wanted to be supported to renew this evaluation independently.
Démarche
The support was structured around workshops to prioritise the effects to be measured, review the indicators and define the collection protocol, supplemented by training in the Impact Tools tool to enable the teams to manage the process internally.
Utilisation des résultats
The results should allow the association to concretely demonstrate its impact and identify ways to strengthen it. They also shed light on broader issues such as the preparation of students for citizenship or the anchoring of schools in their territory.
