Diagnosis of the impact approach
Contexte
Citizen Capital, an impact investment fund, had several measurement tools mobilized at different stages of its investments. Citizen Capital asked Kimso to analyze the existing situation and propose an evolution of its methodology to give more coherence with an impact prism.
Démarche
Kimso conducted interviews with the Citizen Capital teams, companies supported at different stages of maturity, an investor and a researcher. This listening was completed by the analysis of a concrete case to test avenues for improvement in real conditions.

This work has made it possible to refocus Citizen Capital's methodology, by distinguishing the evaluation of practices from that of performance, and by structuring the monitoring of companies around three axes: the relevance of the intervention model, the integration of social impact at the heart of the company, and ESG practices.

Impact assessment of three funds
Contexte
The Action Logement group supports innovation in housing via three funds (Overseas Fund, Action Housing Services Fund, ALINOV Fund). Wishing to go further in its approach to social utility, the group asked Kimso and Better Way to question the social impact of the projects supported and to equip itself with tools to better select and monitor these projects.
Démarche
The support began with cross-interviews with the managers and instructors of the three funds, emblematic project leaders and operational partners. This material fed into a collective workshop to clarify the theory of change of each fund, then a consolidation meeting leading to a common social impact framework. Analysis grids were then built for each fund, tested and then adjusted by the teams.
Utilisation des résultats
This approach has enabled Action Logement to formalise the social impact ambition of each of its funds while developing a common vision within the group. The tools developed are intended for instructors to integrate a social impact dimension in the selection and management of supported projects in the long term.
