Transition Actors Program
Contexte
Based on the lessons learned from the impact evaluations of its "Actors of Resilience" and "Actors of Transitions" programmes, the Caritas Foundation has changed its strategy to support actors of general interest: abolition of calls for projects in favour of multi-year support programmes, with two new themes on single mothers and exiled people. It asked Kimso to capitalise on these lessons to extend its monitoring and impact evaluation approach to these new programmes.

The support was structured in three stages: a synthesis of the strategic lessons learned from past evaluations to prepare a restitution event, a workshop to review the impact framework and the monitoring and collection tools, then an action-training on the Impact Tools platform to enable the Foundation to manage impact measurement independently on its new programs

This approach has enabled the Caritas Foundation to concretely promote what a structuring multi-year support produces, based on consolidated lessons learned to convince and mobilize its ecosystem. It has also enabled it to update its impact framework and to transfer the necessary skills to its teams to monitor and evaluate, independently, the impact of its new programs.

Contexte
As a long-standing player in supporting classical music and contemporary art, the Societe Generale Foundation focuses on three areas: the dissemination of music, the professional integration of young musicians and education through musical practice. It wanted to assess the impact of its financial support on the structures it supports, as well as the perception that the music ecosystem has of its place and role.
Démarche
A qualitative study was carried out with the various stakeholders: in-depth individual interviews with the structures supported on the three axes, supplemented by interviews with recognized experts in the sector. This listening made it possible to analyze the effects of the Foundation's support according to the profile of the structures, as well as the perception of its role and uniqueness within the musical ecosystem.
Utilisation des résultats
The study confirmed a strong and structuring impact of the Foundation's support, particularly on the development, ambition and credibility of the structures supported. These lessons have enabled the Foundation to clarify its mission and selection criteria, to consolidate its direct impacts, and to enhance its role within the music ecosystem in France.
